How to make an image transparent on GIMP


This tutorial will help you make an image transparent on GIMP.

Step 1 :
Load your GIMP software.


Step 2 :
Drag an image that you would like to make transparent to your GIMP window


Step 3 :
Look at your menu and click on "Layer".


Step 4 :
Once you clicked on "Layer", scroll down to "transparency" , then you will see an arrow and soon another menu will show up. Choose "add alpha channel"




Step 5 :
When you done adding your alpha channel, click on this tool [ Fuzzy Select Tool ] in your tool box.




Step 6 :
Highlight the background that you would like to remove on your picture using the fuzzy select tool.


Step 7 :
Go to your menu and select "menu", then scroll down and click "clear".




Step 8 :
Congratulations, you made the background of your image transparent.
